K&K Insurance is a company that started 70 years ago. Their website currently suffers from numerous UX/UI issues www.kandkinsurance.com, and unlike their competitors, they have not invested in modernizing their platforms. This presents a perfect case study where we can take a business with interface and digital problems and unleash the full power of design and development to create an effective technological transformation that leads to happy customers and increased profits.
The objective of this project is to demonstrate my capabilities and expertise in the field. I will not only address the UX process but also create a functional website with comprehensive UI aspects. By undertaking this endeavor, I aim to revamp K&K Insurance's online presence and enhance their user experience, ultimately attracting more customers and boosting their revenue, creating a complete digital transformation.
The process of redesigning K&K Insurance's platform begins with the framework of design thinking. In the discovery phase, user research, market research, and an analysis of the company's current website were conducted, resulting in the following deliverables: heuristic analysis, UX analysis, benchmarking, a competitive analysis with key players, and Google's HEART framework.
In the definition phase, user personas were developed along with their empathy maps, as well as a customer journey map. Additionally, a new brand identity was created to establish a cohesive visual language for the platform.
The ideation phase involved crafting the information architecture, conducting card sorting exercises, and creating user flows for the platform. This process ensured that the platform's structure and organization met the needs and expectations of the target audience.
Moving on to the design phase, wireframes were crafted to outline the layout and functionality of the platform. Attention was given to typography, color palettes, and the overall user interface design. This phase aimed to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface that aligns with the new brand identity. The website was developed using Webflow, allowing for efficient and seamless implementation of the design.
Throughout the entire process, an iterative approach was adopted, this feedback loop helped refine and improve the design, ensuring that the final product addressed user needs effectively.
By following the design thinking framework and incorporating extensive research and user-centric design principles, the redesigned K&K Insurance platform achieved a transformative digital presence. The new platform not only enhances the user experience but also reflects the company's brand identity, positioning them as a leading player in the industry.
